Wow. Ummmm. If by that you mean am I still afraid of death…I am still afraid of death. Every walk home, every subway ride, every corner store trip…every second of my life outside of my house or work or ucb basically I am afraid some crazy person is going to end my life somehow. But I am just crazy.
Saw your tweets about Asssscat! I'm bummed I missed it...what was the lineup like?
Amy Poehler, Seth Meyers, Horatio Sans, John Lutz, Bobby Moynihan, Chris Gethard, Miriam Tolan, Peter Gwinn, Anthony Atamanuik, Anthony King, John Gemberling, Neil Casey (i believe that was everyone at 9:30) and I swear Rachel Dratch walked in before the 7:30 show and Gavin Speiller also walked in before the 7:30. Monologist: Emily Tarver
October 18th I am going home to Florida for a few months. October 1st my current sublet is up. I need a place to crash from October 1st until October 18th. I don’t require much space as I don’t own much. A couch, a floor, a bedroom, whatever. I can offer money for the space or I can cook for you and offer you free Starbucks goods.
My grandparents bought me my plane ticket home for October 18th at 10am from Laguardia Airport and I honestly couldn’t be more excited. Don’t get me wrong, I love NYC and all the things I have done here and the people I have met, but certain things have made me want to go home for a few months. Not going to go into detail about these details, but they stacked up in my over-analytical brain to the point where I just want to go home for a bit.
Here are some things about the city that I will miss:
The Creek’s chicken nachos
All the improv friends I have made
But I am more than excited about these things in Florida:
Writing and Recording Music
Working and Saving A Bunch of Money
Hiking and Camping
Stocking Up On Winter Clothes
Recording All These Sketches I Am Writing This Month
Saving Money So I Can Get Into A More Permenant Living Situation When I Come Back To NYC In January
All in all, I will definitely be back in January to start taking 301 and I will be tired of Florida and missing NYC by then. I just need a get away and destresser.
I am at home listening to songs like “Don’t Stop Me Now” by Queen, “Fuck You” by Cee-Lo, many songs by The Smiths, and some other frequent songs played before School Night. Also, working on my 30 days, 30 sketches.
Writing my first sketch of the thirty due this month. Figured it’s a good way to actually make myself write sketch again and get better. I may or may not be posting them. NaSkeWriMo is a great tool to make yourself do it.
Two years ago, I participated in the scriptathon. 30 days, 30 pages event. I wrote 15 pages of a sitcom pilot and ended up getting super busy. That won’t happen this month.
Writing tomorrow’s sketch tonight as well because I won’t have time to do it tomorrow.
