I am starting up a blog and a weekly webseries devoted to rounding up the news from comics, movies, television, technology, video games and anything else that I deem worthy. This is the blog portion. Please follow and help me by promoting it to your friends.
"Yo, man, you know what’d make Superman comics even doper? That’s right, a retarded version of Superman…hmmm…his name could be….hmmm….Bizarro! Yeah, that makes total sense and won’t in any way be a retarded idea."
- The Creators of Superman villain, Bizarro.
(I really despise Superman, I feel he is such a lame excuse for a superhero and his stories are always so trite.)
If I were a news reporter, I’d be waiting for the day a scientist named Florence built a time machine so I could write the brilliant headline “Florence + The Machine” or “Florence and The Time Machine”.
Alright, so, I am in the mad savings game right now where I am saving as many of my pennies as I can so that in March, April or May I can move back to NYC and take improv and sketch classes at UCB again. HOWEVER, current developments are making me really consider taking a week or two off and visiting an old friend in Virginia whom I haven’t seen in quite some time and am quite fond of (I quite like saying quite tonight).
Unfortunately, if I do visit her, I will be short 5-700 bucks from my savings goal, and will have to postpone my move a month or two, which I really don’t want to do.
So, if I go, I see an old friend and have fun for a week with the consequence being that my move back to NYC is pushed back a bit. If I don’t go, I might never get the opportunity to see her again and am left wishing I had visited her. Sure, to a normal human, the choice is obvious…but to a person who can’t choose between real life, fantasy and dreams…a person torn between pessimism and optimism…it’s a tough call.
