By now, many of you have seen Angela Merkel, Prime Minister of Germany, get 5 beers spilled on her by a server. I just wanted to use my 4 years of server experience to explain why this whole exchange is very fishy.
Rule number one of carrying a tray is to keep it on the tips of your fingers….
Yesterday, on an E-Train, I witnessed one of the most adorable moments of my life. There was a woman who had two puppies with her. A little girl, between 6 and 8 years of age, sat next to her and was at first really scared of the puppies. The woman coaxed and eased the girl and talked her into petting the puppies and, hesitantly, the girl agreed. After the first stroke, the girl was in love. Dear internet, let’s help Cathryn get Anthony Bourdain, Bobby Flay, Chuck Palahniuk, Zachary Levi and Neil Gaiman to do monologues at Asssscat NYC.
I’m excited! My mother will be visiting this weekend. She’s never seen me improvise and I’d really love to give her the opportunity to. Anyone have any openings in their improv shows this weekend that they’d be able to squeeze Fish Train into?
Last night I performed with one of my practice group mates at The Creek. We’ve been practicing together now for about a month, but have never performed together. Prior to the show, we met up and chatted about our form for a bit. She asked if I usually warm up before shows and I told her that I…
